\Artist's Statement

jobear The use of glass as a media creates art of exotic illusions. Exact duplication of a subject is almost impossible due to techniques used. Without these limitations the glass artisian can go beyond normal parameters and create wondrous illusions, letting the glass speak for itself.  When I start a new piece I consider all of the changing moods of the glass selected. For me, the work comes alive when the glass changes color, texture and shape. How I interpret that "living illusion" is never quite clear until the piece is completed. Kilnfired glass takes one of a kind artwork beyond the wildest imagination and captures the unique spirit for which the jobear studio strives to achieve. When you select one of our products your personality is reflected in its beauty and makes a statement to all who enter your home.
